The Frozen Flashes Learn to Skate Program is specially designed for KSU student skaters, offering a structured progression through five skill levels. Modeled after the Learn to Skate USA curriculum, each level introduces 10–11 foundational skills that build upon one another.
New kayakers can come learn kayaking skills. Participants may bring their own boats via the loading dock stairs and back entrance as long as the boats are FULLY CLEANED before entering the pool. If you don’t own a boat, one will be provided for you to use. Contact adventurecenter@kent.edu with any questions. Pre-registration IS REQUIRED by the Wednesday before each program.

College Late Night Skates are Wednesday nights at the KSU Ice Arena for ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì college students with a current college ID. Guests may accompany a KSU college student, but must be 18 years of age or older and have an ID.
Cost is $5 (includes skate rental)
No cash payments at the Skate Rental and Concession counters.
CREDIT/DEBIT CARD PAYMENT ONLY (Visa, MC, Discover)
Guests must be accompanied by a current KSU Student.
College Skate Night admission sales will begin 30-minutes prior to the session start time.
Welcome to our Fall Break Trip to Arches National Park and Diamond Hot Springs in Utah! We will fly to Salt Lake City, UT on a late night flight and drive down to Provo, UT to stay at a hotel. The next morning, we’ll be up early to head to Arches National Park and check out all the cool stops, hike Park Avenue, Delicate Arch, Double Arch!! After our first day out, we’ll settle into our campsite with a campfire and camp cuisine! The days to follow include exploring the park and heading up to Fifth Water Hotsprings before flying home.
Free weekly event for students every Wednesday during the academic year providing wellness education, interactive activities, and giveaways. Participants do not need to be present the entire time.

This two-and-a-half hour program covers the basics of indoor climbing including equipment, bouldering, top rope climbing, and belaying with an ATC and Gri-gri device. This program sets up an individual with no prior experience to take our belay test which is required when purchasing a climbing wall membership.
