Essential Functions of a Medical Assistant

The minimum acceptable cognitive, affective and psychomotor qualifications of a professional medical assistant include:
  1. Regularly work in a standing position and walk often.
  2. Physically assist patients from surface to surface.
  3. Apply manual pressure of up to 10 pounds to control bleeding or during CPR.
  4. React promptly to spoken commands and auditory signals from monitors and conduct auscultation without difficulty or interference.

Are you a Dancing with the Stars fan? Well then your in luck because FAB will be hosting a Dancing with the Stars themed event on February 24th from 7-9 PM in the KSC Ballroom! There will be many activities for students to participate in. Including some themed crafts, coloring activities, giveaways, a photobooth, and even a ballroom dance class. For the ballroom dance classes there will be two 45 minute class sessions during the event, including both the Latin and Swing styles. Ballroom dance is considered social dancing or dancing with a partner.
