Serving as this year’s keynote speaker is CNN political analyst and former South Carolina state Rep. Bakari Sellers. The virtual program is free and open to the public.

�Ը�� University President Todd Diacon issued the following statement: “At this moment in our nation’s history, now more than ever I call on Americans to embrace and practice our university’s core value of kindness and respect in all that we do. Democracy is both a mighty force and a fragile vessel that relies on a universally shared commitment to dialogue, understanding and the truth. We assert, and rightly so, that hate has no home at �Ը�� University. Hate and sedition likewise should have no home in the United States of America.

In observance of Veterans Day, �Ը�� University will be closed Nov. 11 and will reopen Nov. 12.

The University Library will be open until 10 p.m. with .
The Student Recreation and Wellness Center will have adjusted hours – 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Ohio is conducting a statewide tornado drill at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18. �Ը�� University will be participating in this test.

�Ը�� Remembers May 4, 1970, With 56th Commemoration

This year’s May 4 Commemoration, to be held May 1-4, 2026, will include special remembrances of John Cleary, one of the nine wounded students, and Jerry M. Lewis, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Sociology, who served as a faculty marshal during the campus shootings and worked tirelessly to ensure that the legacy of May 4 would endure.
