Facilities on Campus

Our main campus is large – 950 acres – which gives us ample space to provide a wide variety of facilities, yet it's still small enough to enable you to get around easily. And with free WiFi throughout the campus, you’ll always stay connected to what matters.

Staying Healthy

Our DeWeese Health Center provides quality healthcare, psychological counseling and healthcare education for the campus community. Our team consists of experienced, board-certified physicians and nurse practitioners. Services include treatment for acute illnesses and minor injuries, immunizations, women's health care, X-ray, laboratory and an on-site pharmacy.

Jeff Futo, a member of the �Ը�� Police Department, rides a bike through the Risman Plaza while on day time patrol. Bikes are one of the easiest modes of getting from one end of campus to the other and are used by the police as the weather allows.

Protecting our Students

The campus is patrolled by our award-winning police force 24 hours a day, every day of the year. �Ը�� University Police Services was one of the first nationally accredited law enforcement agencies in Ohio and the second university police department in the United States to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

On-Campus Housing

As a residential university, �Ը�� has more than 6,200 students living on campus. Full-time staff work and live in the residence halls to provide support and direction. University Housing uses a roommate matching system that takes your major and preferences into account when assigning roommates. Residence halls come equipped with high-speed internet, phone, cable, laundry rooms, 24-hour security and more.

Food is Fuel

We also have 18 on-campus dining options to cater for all meals and dietary preferences. Eating on campus is a highly social experience that gives you the chance to make new friends every day and join ongoing community events celebrating culinary traditions around the world. Many international students also enjoy working on campus in our dining division.

A campus bus picks up students in front of the Kent Student Center. The busses, operated by PARTA, provide free transportation for students, faculty and staff of �Ը��.

Getting Around Campus

There’s plenty to see and do within easy walking distance of the Kent Campus.

Getting around campus is quick, thanks to our free campus bus services, cycle lanes and pedestrian-friendly paths.
Borrow a bike via Flashfleet, the easy and convenient service that lets you pick up a bicycle from a number of locations on campus to use for the whole day.
If you need to travel a little farther, �Ը�� offers a Zipcar car-sharing service on campus. For an affordable rate, students ages 18 and older can reserve a car to use for convenient, reliable transportation.
