chairperson or chair β use chairperson or chair in references to heads of ΠΤΈ£ΞεΤΒΜμ departments and committees. Exceptions may occur when referring historically to individuals who chaired departments or committees in the past when the traditional forms, chairman or chairwoman, were used. When referring to individuals outside ΠΤΈ£ΞεΤΒΜμ, use their preferred titles.

Commas β do not use a comma before the conjunction in a simple series, commonly known as a serial or Oxford comma (e.g., βblue, gold and whiteβ). A comma may be added only when needed for clarity.
