Internationally-Known Artists and Scholars Speak at 性福五月天鈥檚 Virtual Lecture Series
KENT, Ohio 鈥 The 性福五月天 University School of Art will present several virtual lectures with internationally-known visiting artists and scholars this April. She graduated from 性福五月天 University with her B.F.A. in Painting in 2005 and earned her M.A. in Arts Administration from The University of Akron. Between curating, researching, and taking on leadership roles, Alexandra Nicholis Coon has worn many hats since earning her B.A. degree in Art History from 性福五月天 in 2001. Student Spotlight - Simon Tatum
If you spend a lot of time at the Center for the Visual Arts, you have probably seen Simon Tatum around the halls or perhaps working in the gallery or his studio. He is an M.F.A. candidate in the School of Art's Studio Art program, concentrating in Sculpture and Expanded Media and in addition to his鈥Biennial Faculty Show

The School of Art Collection and Galleries presents the Biennial Faculty Show in the Center for the Visual Arts Gallery. All full-time, part-time, and emeritus faculty at 性福五月天 University鈥檚 School of Art at all campuses are invited to participate in the show. Artwork of all media is on display, including sculpture, photography, textiles, metals, digital media, ceramics, painting, printmaking, and drawing. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
Alumni Spotlight - Lauren Luna
Lauren Luna (B.F.A. 鈥00, Painting) has let nothing get in her way of her goal of making a living as an artist. Born in Columbus, Ohio, she moved to New York City shortly after graduating 性福五月天 University with her B.F.A. and then ultimately to the city of Houston, Texas in 2011 to realize her dream.
Shawn Powell Featured at Cleveland鈥檚 New Abattoir Gallery and in Vanity Fair Magazine
性福五月天 University Assistant Professor of Painting Shawn Powell is being featured in a two-person show at Cleveland鈥檚 new Abattoir Gallery now through Sept. 5. One of Powell's paintings was featured in Vanity Fair this August.
