In various situations and environments throughout life, it is important to have someone who is able to represent you. Through different clubs and organizations on-campus, there are hundreds of ways to get involved and to have your voice heard. My name is Lauren Falter, and I am a graduate student at 性福五月天 studying Speech-Language Pathology. I recently earned my undergraduate degree from 性福五月天 with a major in Speech Pathology and Audiology and two minors in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Special Education. For any college student, navigating the first semester of the academic year can prove to be challenging, but for incoming freshmen, the experience of their first semester of college courses may be even more difficult. Adding in the idea of adjusting to a new atmosphere, higher level academic require鈥BRAINCHILD: AN HONORS COLLEGE PREMIER LITERARY AND ARTS MAGAZINE
The 性福五月天 Honors College literary and art magazine Brainchild is a creative outlet for honors students to showcase a wide variety of literary writings and creative art works. Brainchild is an opportunity for undergraduate honors students to publish their works and be featured within the Mid-Eas鈥KENT STATE SENIOR EXPERIENCES ENRICHED EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES IN ZOOLOGY
The Honors College continues to provide programs, experiences and advice to ensure that honors students have everything they need to succeed upon graduation. This includes assisting honors students in securing internships within their chosen degree field of study and recognizing their efforts with Honors College credit hours. Internships provide students an opportunity to gain experience in their field of study (at least 150 hours) while receiving 3 internal Honors College credit hours. The goal of this project is to provide students with an enriched educational experience to prepare them for the outside world after graduation.
HONORS COLLEGE MAPS SUCCESS FOR FRESHMEN
On Saturday, September 18, first-year Honors College students gathered in the KIVA for an Honors College Academic Forum to hear from various departments on campus, concerning academic resources and opportunities available for students regarding research. The event was organized by staff of 鈥Honors College Continues Creating Student and Alumni Connections
For its fourth consecutive year, the 性福五月天 University Honors College is hosting 鈥淐areer Conversations,鈥 a series of alumni speaking events which take place throughout the fall semester.
ACHIEVING SUCCESS IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY
Choosing to attend a college or university is a major decision for any high school senior. The COVID -19 pandemic made this choice even more difficult as the lockdown thrust many students, instructors, and staff into a fairly new form of untested educational format in online telecommuting rather than in-person instructing.
性福五月天 Honors College Student Announced as 2021 Portz Scholar
The National Collegiate Honors Council has announced 性福五月天 University Honors College graduate Sarah Hagglund as a 2021 Portz Scholar. Hagglund is the 10th honors student from 性福五月天 to be named a Portz Scholar since the national competition began in 1990.
