�Ը�� University’s annual Veterans Day observance will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from the university’s Army and Air Force ROTC programs.

�Ը�� to Honor Veterans on Nov. 9

�Ը�� University will hold its annual Veterans Day observance on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza.

The outdoor program, Honoring All Who Serve, will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from the university’s Army and Air Force ROTC programs, remarks from �Ը�� President Beverly Warren and guest speakers. Retired Petty Officer 1st Class Mark Gainer, who currently serves as president of the �Ը�� Veterans Club, will be the guest speaker.

All are invited to come and pay tribute to America’s veterans. A special invitation is extended to �Ը�� faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members or who have family members in the military.

A reception in the Kent Student Center Kiva lobby will follow the brief program. In the event of inclement weather, the rain location will be the Kent Student Center Kiva.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, at his May 17 news briefing on the COVID-19 pandemic, shared a video about the project to encourage all Ohioans to submit a stanza.

Important Reminder �Ը�� Your 2025 FSA Funds

If you still have money remaining in your 2025 Flexible Spending Account (FSA), be sure to use it soon to avoid losing those funds.

You have until March 15, 2026, to incur eligible expenses using your remaining 2025 FSA balance.
You must submit all claims for those expenses by June 30, 2026.

Eligible expenses may include deductibles, copays, eyeglasses, dental treatments, and other qualified healthcare costs not covered by your medical plan.
