Several ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University at Tuscarawas alumni have recently been named TuscHeroes, as they are making a difference in the community by helping others adjust and cope during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through a deep desire to help and support others, these TuscHeroes found ways to connect to community members, offer services and provide support virtually. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us are finding new ways to navigate daily tasks in both our professional and personal lives. We are very fortunate to live in the era of electronic platforms that allow us to continue to care for patients remotely via telemedicine. For many of us, while these remote visits are essential to allow continuity of care, it is not the medicine we are accustomed to practicing. We prefer face-to-face patient interactions. At ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì, a student-athlete’s day typically starts around 6 a.m. with practice or lifting. Then they attend team meetings or a cryotherapy session or study tables. Out-of-state residents who have earned a bachelor’s degree in Ohio will soon be able to save on tuition for graduate programs at ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University thanks to a new in-state tuition option offered by the university. This new in-state tuition option introduced by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Higher Education Chancellor Randy Gardner will allow anyone who has earned a bachelor’s degree from an Ohio college or university to pay the in-state tuition rate to pursue a master’s or doctoral degree at ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì.
