This year, the ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University Foundation will give $1,000 to one of the university’s key student support funds in celebration of ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì’s 113th birthday. From April 24-May 19, students will have the chance to vote for one of four funds, including the CARES Center Fund, the Flashes Fighting Hunger Support Fund, the ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì Emergency Grant Fund and the Last Dollar Book Scholarship. On May 3rd, students in Dr. Kelsen LaBerge’s Introduction to Engineering course demonstrated their Hovercraft projects. This project serves as a class capstone, where the 79 students in the course were divided into 13 teams that must successfully design, build, and fly a hovercraft that adheres to a specified budget. Students work with their teams to come up with a preliminary design before giving a presentation of their work.
