John S. Brinzo Scholarship

This scholarship requires that you be a first-year student admitted and enrolled in the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship at the Kent Campus with a minimum high school GPA of 3.0. You must also demonstrate community involvement and extracurricular activities.

Carl E. Bartlow Memorial Scholarship

For this scholarship, you must be an incoming first-year student admitted as a pre-accounting major enrolled in the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship at the Kent Campus. You must have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA and demonstrate leadership and service. Preference will be given if you are from Stark County. This scholarship can be renewed if you maintain a 3.0 GPA and remain in the accounting major.

Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship First-Year Student Leadership Scholarship

Spanish - Minor

The Spanish minor enables students to develop skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as acquire knowledge of the literatures and cultures of Spain and Latin America. To achieve these goals, students study grammar, composition, speaking, Spanish and Spanish-American civilization and Spanish-American and Hispanic literature with emphasis on culture.

Learning Outcomes

Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates of this program will be able to:

  1. Contribute to most informal and some formal conversations with sufficient accuracy, clarity and precision to convey their intended message without misrepresentation or confusion.
  2. Read a variety of texts written for native speakers of Russian and not edited or adapted for non-native speakers.
  3. Compose routine social correspondence and write descriptions of a factual nature in Russian.
  4. Demonstrate a historical knowledge of Russian history and culture and understand the diverse nature of culture throughout the ages.
  5. Discuss cultural differences, distinguishing between fact, opinion and stereotype.
  6. Communicate effectively and sensitively to diverse ethnic and cultural groups.
  7. View concepts, issues, events and themes from the perspectives of diverse ethnic and cultural groups.
  8. Maintain an ongoing assessment of their own cultural values and behaviors.
