A.I.D. For Older Adults

Wednesday, 29 October, 2025 -
12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Join the College of Public Health and the Center for Public Policy and Health for "A.I.D. For Older Adults." Learn about key contributors that impact older adult mental health, how to be aware of the signs and symptoms of distress in older adults, how to appropriately interact with an older adult who may be experiencing distress, and how to provide appropriate resources to older adults in distress.

A.I.D. for Older Adults is a novel mental health awareness training developed by researchers in the Center for Public Policy and Health. This training branches from the Center鈥檚 general A.I.D. training, which is evidence-based. Caring for older adults is a timely issue, and with this training, participants will learn how to be aware of the signs and symptoms of distress in older adults, effectively interact with an older adult who may be experiencing distress, and Direct them to appropriate resources.

Participants licensed by the Ohio Board of Nursing can receive 1 free CE hour after completion of the course and the post-CE evaluation.
