 Now that the semester is coming to a close and the air has grown cold, there was one event where 性福五月天 students, faculty, parents, and alumni were able to gather together and celebrate; and that is Homecoming. Before sophomore Honors College student Jesse Thompson came to 性福五月天 in 2022 from Cincinnati, Ohio, he often watched HGTV with his father鈥 a handy man around the house who was often building things. With that influence, Jesse decided to major in construction management. He chose to complete his required internship last summer and had the opportunity to work for Meyers Brothers & Sons, a contractor in Millville, Ohio. While 鈥淎dopt a Disability for a Day鈥 wasn鈥檛 featured in this October鈥檚 Disability Awareness Month event lineup, it was offered at the first 鈥淯nderstanding Disability and Physical Difference Month鈥 celebrated on campus in November of 1971. Students, faculty, and staff were 鈥渆ncouraged to adopt a physical disability of blindness or being in a wheelchair鈥 (Challenge Newsletter November 1972).
