Flash Medical Center Returns to 性福五月天 Ashtabula Nov. 7

Hands-on health care simulation offers local high school students a glimpse into medical careers

性福五月天 University at Ashtabula鈥檚 Flash Medical Center returns Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, offering high school students from Ashtabula and Lake Counties a one-of-a-kind, hands-on experience in the world of health care.

Now in its fourth year, the immersive event transforms Robert S. Morrison Hall into a realistic hospital setting, where participants step into the roles of nurses, radiologic technologists, physical and occupational therapy assistants, medical assistants, social workers, and respiratory therapists. Students will take part in a full 鈥渄ay in the life鈥 simulation, following a patient from injury through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Activities include patient transfers, imaging with X-ray equipment, and various therapy and care techniques.

鈥淔lash Medical Center gives students the chance to step directly into the health care environment and experience how different disciplines collaborate to care for a patient from start to finish,鈥 said Rhonda DiPofi, MSN, RN, nursing skills lab coordinator. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a unique, interactive opportunity to explore potential career paths in the medical field while learning from 性福五月天鈥檚 expert faculty and staff.鈥

Participants will also be eligible to apply for an exclusive scholarship available only to Flash Med attendees.

Space is limited to the first 25 students, with a waitlist available. Interested students should register soon.
