Monday, Sept. 8 — Office of Global Education's Study Abroad in a Flash! Winter, Spring Break, and Summer Short-Term Programs

Tuesday, Sept. 9 — International Admissions' Flag Cookie Decorating

  • Where are you from? Where do you want to go? International Admissions wants to know your story! Come tell them by decorating a cookie with the country flag of your choice. 
  • Plain sugar cookies and color frosting will be provided in Van Campen Hall, Room 111 (from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.). 
  • Bring your friends, decorate cookies, and share what you're looking forward to when you study abroad, while supplies last!  
  • This annual event is a chance for students and their families to enjoy food and music, in addition to student organization and local business tabling.

Tuesday, Sept. 9 — College of Public Health's 2025 Education Abroad Showcase - Health Immersion in Geneva, Switzerland

  • Learn about the 2026 Global Health Immersion in Geneva, Switzerland program. This is a unique opportunity to spend two weeks in May in beautiful Switzerland exploring health priorities, policies and practices from a global perspective while soaking up new cultural experiences. 
  • Particularly relevant for students in public health, nursing, medicine, podiatry, nutrition, allied health, pre-health (medicine, dentistry), environmental sciences, biological sciences, anthropology, international development, and international relations.

Tuesday, Sept. 9 — Office of Global Education's Grow Your Career in Asia: Bamboo Planting

  • Pot your own bamboo plant and learn about internship opportunities in Asia + a scholarship up to $6,500 for Summer 2026! 
  • Participants will receive a pot, soil, and a bamboo stalk to plant. They can also decorate their pots with paint.

Thursday, Sept. 11 — Office of Global Education's KSU Freeman Fellows Internship in Asia Info Sessions

  • Learn how to receive up to $6,500 to intern abroad in Asia in Summer 2026! 
  • We will review the award application process and internship programs options in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. Freshmen - Junior-level students are able to apply!

  • Thinking about studying abroad and worried about not having much (or any) travel experience? From deciding which education abroad program is the best fit for you to applying for a passport, deciding what to pack, navigating airports and more, join the Education Abroad team for tips and resources to prepare you as an adaptable and organized first-time traveler. 
  • Whether you've never left your hometown or have traveled before and you're looking for some extra guidance, we're here to help!

Friday, Sept. 12 — Office of Global Education's First Time Traveler: Get the Scoop on ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì Florence Summer Programs

  • The ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì Florence Center has amazing opportunities for students to spend their summer living and learning in Florence, Italy. 
  • Grab a scoop of Gelato and get the scoop on all of the great programs offered including the Florence Summer Institute, Florence Health Institute, and the Hospitality and Event Management Practicum. 
  • Participants will have the opportunity to connect with professors who will teach in Florence, students who have studied in Florence in past summers, and staff from the Education Abroad office who can answer any questions about the experience.

  • Mark your calendars for a weekend packed with unforgettable moments and exciting family-friendly events. From beloved ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì traditions to special programming designed with families in mind, there will be countless opportunities to celebrate with your favorite Golden Flash student. And yes, football is back! Don’t miss the action as the Golden Flashes take on the Buffalo Bulls!

Saturday, Sept. 13 — ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì Football versus University of Buffalo

  • Join us for Parents and Family Weekend as the Football team takes on Buffalo. 
  • The first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a Black Fearless Flash Football Hat. 
  • Additionally, all fans are encouraged to WEAR BLACK for the Blackout. 
  • Kickoff is at 12 p.m. at Dix Stadium.

Saturday, Sept. 13 — Adventure Center's Outdoor Stand Up Paddleboarding

  • We will be going to West Branch State Park for a beginner-friendly stand up paddleboard float. 
  • There is beautiful scenery, wildlife, and fresh air to take in while on the water. 
  • We will provide introduction to paddleboarding before we get on the water, going over lake safety, paddling strokes & more!
